QUEEN BEE FUNERAL

"Coffins" are cages used to

introduce new queens into a

queenless colony.

The cage protects the new queen

for a few days,

while the bees get use to her scent.

It is disheartening to find

them dead in their cages.

A bee in her lifetime will

only produce

1½ teaspoon of honey.
